A delivery of new Volkswagens arrives in Sweden aboard Laes55 double-deck rail wagons of AB Skandia Transport, around 1960 or 1961.
You will notice that the wipers, hubcaps and exterior mirrors are not fitted to the cars. VWs being exported by ship from the factory in WOB had these items placed inside the cars for protection during the sea crossing.
Also, note that the cars are covered in Cosmoline, a protective wax coating applied at the factory. This gave the paintwork and chrome a matt appearance. This protective coating for the sea crossing was removed by the selling dealers during the pre-delivery inspection (PDI). You can see some of the Cosmoline has been cleared from the window glass, much like scraping frost in the winter.

17's on a bug just don't look right. it's always to much wheel and not enough sidewall. hell even a 15 looks stupid with a 125 tire or temps. (unless you're running smoothies, somehow that works)
Aussie trim varies from vehicle to vehicle.
and im burned out on safari windshields on bugs.

I know they're not nearly as prolific but it seems there's a lot of performance parts out their for the Corvairs. One of the YT channels I follow does quite a bit with the engines and it seems to be a pretty nice package for decent HP. Plus, a metric butt-ton more reliable than a Subi conversion.

That's the point I wouldn't mind having one, for sure.
