Re: A day in the life...
nope, didn't have any to put in there. iv heard the difference with and without it when the enclosures cause a hollow ecoy sound. it helps silence that. but these aren't doing that. with these it sounds like the low end just isn't there. hmmm... kinda tempted to stick a towel in there and see if it makes a difference.

Some wool stuff like this works well...
Do not use rock- or glass wool insulation material.
It lacks physical strength and will disintegrate due to the sound waves.
Closed (non vented) cabinets can be stuffed entirely.
This "fools" the driver to assume a larger volume.

Man, talk about breaking the 4th wall
Re: A day in the life...
Took the KLEIN out for a spin after quite a while...
Only to find both down shift levers not working properly.
First assumption was some internals may have worn out...
But a closer look revealed cracked casings...
They are Shimano Deore XT ST-M750 units and considered vintage (and rare?) nowadays I guess.
Hopefully I'm able to dig up some replacements. Fingers crossed...

Re: A day in the life...
I did the same thing with the Cannondale. I pulled it out and tried to get it able to ride and took it out for it's first run only to end up walking 5 miles back to Bog while carrying it. Seems I forgot that the rear axle was stripped and that's the reason I parked it
Tubeless setup had also failed so I replaced the axle and used some locktite on it then put some tubes in it. It did fine mostly on the second ride.
Are both shifters broken or just one? That's a 3x9 setup, correct?
Re: A day in the life...
Yes, a 3x9 setup.
Both down shifters are not working.
The funny (dorky) part:
The KLEIN resides at my parents home.
I hadn't my glasses at hand while examine the units and didn't recognize
the cracked casing before watching the pics on the computer at home.
So one shifter is definitely cracked. I have to check the other one again
(with some visual aid).
I already found a NOS nine fold unit for 60 EUR.

Was tired of the aftermarket carpet floor mats.
Replaced them with new original style rubber ones.
"Feels" and looks way better IMHO...
