Added the settlement tank(far left) back into the system and added a pre-prefilter ahead of everything to try to keep the more expensive filters safe from debris. I also bumped the pressure switch up to shut off at 75 lbs of pressure.

Welp, that didn't last too long. Today, I wrapped up cutting out the Aquasana system and replacing it with 4(yes, 4) cartridge filters. A rope sediment, 20 micron, 5 micron, 1 micron and UV filter. A powered anode rod in the water heater is for the sulfer smell.

The change is because the water is so bad, it filled the filters with mud in less than a year and a half and would cost about 2k to replace after shipping in both directions.

Damn! That is "krass" !
Does the water come from the public water supply or do you have sort of a private well?

Yeah, it's pretty nasty :)

This is a private well, which is all that's available in this rural area as the county utilities don't come this far out. Being as close as we are to the coast, the well water is always generally pretty bad but this is just next level diabolically filthy.

On the plus side, my wall of filters seem to be doing a good job of keeping it in check and now that I can replace the cartridges, perhaps I'll have a bit better control of it.

My wife and daughter took me to Outer Banks, NC for a couple days. I'm not much of a beach goer but it was a very nice place to hang out.
