Reminds me of this tin can bug made in the streets of Cape Town South Africa.

It was homemade but not in our home. My wife purchased it on Etsy , the craft sales site. It's very nifty.

I like yours as well. I spent a bit of time in Africa and it amazed me what the street craftsmen were able to make with very few and poor quality tools.

Zahlpunkt, is that like station or position? It translates to "number point" in Google.

There is no literal translation... But station suits in a way.
Something is counted/recorded at that location of the production line.
Progress of production, accomplishment of tasks, reaching a milestone...
May be reporting point or counting point.
