ok, the .080 over beat up and out of round case is off the stand and in the trash! along with a few other worn out parts.
found my standard bearings, so next weekend ill start mock up and see about ordering heads. also thinking of buying a new cam... a 110 isn't that big but is supposed to be very street friendly, so idk...

Re: the never ending project. 71 super build

someone just figured out his deck height. ...and isn't super stoked with the results. .070"
the Panchito 044 heads im planning on getting have a combustion chamber of 57cc's. so my CR would be 7.5:1. i mean at least there will be no question about it being 87 octane tolerant. don't think the butt dyno would notice the difference between 7.5 and 8.0. so i think im good with it. not chasing big power with this engine anyway. that'll come later

i have a set of Tim's stage one heads... maybe ill see what the CC's of those are.... ...just for S&G...

so now im going 1904cc. 74 forged crank, 5.4 rods, A pistons. everything clears with room to spare. have to shim the cylinders .060 but whatever. it'll put my deck height at about .045 - .050 witch is perfect for the heads ill be running. will have about or just shy of 8.0:1cr. 8-)
