Zippy is a celebrity-by-proxy!
In Feb of 2015, Laurent Dubois said he wanted the fiberglass fenders off of Zippy for a nostalgia project he was working on. Paying the cost for shipping(which was catastrophically expensive), I basically gave them to him with the best of luck on his project.
Today in my Facebook feed, I saw Zippy's fenders again:
In the time it took me to get the pan temporarily fastened together, he build this(FB link, may need account).

I'm not on FB but judging by the pic above it's a nice built.
However I'm not so much into fiber glass parts and the shag pile (flokati rug?) sun visors are weird aren't they?

I'm sure Zippy will be of a different stamp once back on the road.
And his former vintage flared fenders served for a good cause at last.

He had a very specific vision for his project, I remember. He was over the moon at having found the fenders and was willing to pay whatever it cost to ship overseas. I'm really glad he got some use out of them.
