Lastly applied a final layer of sealer...





Picked up the seats and stuff from the car upholsterer.
The two-tone combo turned out nice in combination with the new carpet IMHO...

Pattern for the carpet - in theory...

Basic cutting done...


Used the old OEM rubber mats and carpet pieces as templates for further trimming...


In situ trimming, fitting and cursing - clumsy fellow meets cramped confines...




Also fitted the cardboard templates for the rear kick panels...


Applied the last butyl sound insulation mats and fitted the kick panel mounting brackets...

Trimmed and fitted the remaining carpet pieces...












Now the carpet bits are waiting for delivery to the upholsterer in order to add bound hems...

Did you buy automotive specific carpet or something else for that? It's looks incredible.

It's "needled carpet" and quite close to the OEM fabric used on the wheel wells of my '71 Super.

Took the footwell vent covers apart...


Replaced the disintegrated foam seals with some felt like material...




Reassembled and cover treated with plastic cleaner & care...
