Plumbing today. Hot, insulation and a roof that impales you every time you lift your head up.

Re: A day in the life...

I passed the electrical rough-in inspection and moved to getting the plumbing ready for it's inspection. The largest issue is that the PO installed a water heater 12 feet up in the air. Also, it was a small tank so the kids were sometimes running out of hot water. I found a near-new large tank on FB marketplace and moved it down to the ground. The electrical inspector told me that it would fail because in a garage, the tank needed to be suspended 18 inches, so I cut up the plumbing(again) and built a stool for the tank. During that process, I reclaimed some of the floor space from when it was in the air so the compressor didn't get moved too far out.

Old tank.

Yay! Some good progress sir!,
Step by step - slow and steady wins the race. :)

That stool turned out quite nice.
Resembles half of this in a way...

I've mastered slow, just got to work on the steady part :)

I've started drywall, I can hang and finish it everywhere but wet walls. Hoping the kids will have actual walls again in a week or so.

Re: A day in the life...

Yes snow at times but usually not that amount.
Was melted away by noon by the way.
For the next few days the forecast is down to 21°F (-6°C) at night.

German poem (excerpt):

April, April, der weiß nicht was er will.
Bald Regen und bald Sonnenschein,
Dann schneit's auch wieder zwischendrein.
April, April, der weiß nicht was er will.

Re: A day in the life...

It's gorgeous and it's the best type of snow, the kind that's gone by mid-day.

We've been pulling out the furniture and getting Red's pool setup for the season. It'll probably be warm enough for her to go swimming in a couple weeks if she's motivated enough :)
