Now to fix the remaining gaps at the upper edges of the kick panels...
Lastly applied a final layer of sealer...
Picked up the seats and stuff from the car upholsterer.
The two-tone combo turned out nice in combination with the new carpet IMHO...

not into how square the seats are, but i do like the grey outline piping.

Pattern for the carpet - in theory...
And to scale...
Basic cutting done...
Used the old OEM rubber mats and carpet pieces as templates for further trimming...
In situ trimming, fitting and cursing - clumsy fellow meets cramped confines...
Also fitted the cardboard templates for the rear kick panels...
Applied the last butyl sound insulation mats and fitted the kick panel mounting brackets...

It's "needled carpet" and quite close to the OEM fabric used on the wheel wells of my '71 Super.

Took the footwell vent covers apart...
Replaced the disintegrated foam seals with some felt like material...
Reassembled and cover treated with plastic cleaner & care...
