Hazet tools, the only tool more expensive than Snap-On :)

Strap the bike on the car, we're going for a ride!

iv actually seen one of those penny farthing bikes on the back of a bug before! it was at a Drag Day at Irwindale. towards the end of the show the guy was ridding it around the almost empty parking lot. then strapped it to the back of his bug and left.

I tried really hard to find some info on the pic but couldn't. It looked to me like the rear tires might have been two big for the space and they were removing the damaged fenders so they could continue the race. It's an odd pic, if there's a VW-type exhaust, it seems to be almost completely hidden.

Yeah, most likely. These huge tires hardly clear the mostly stock fenders.

Looks like a stock muffler with the tailpipes missing.

For some reason the guy on the left reminds me of Jack Nicholson - "Here's Johnny" !!

Another thought regarding the SAAB-O-TEUR writing on the deck lid in the pic above.
May be an allusion to the Saab rally cars...

i can't be the only one thinking it would be cooler to drive from the side car just to freak people out seeing a motorcycle riding down the street with no rider.

^ ^ ^ That thing is bass ass (if real)...
Even the frame resembles the original in a way...

That would be absolutely hilarious.

I did a lot of image searching. If there is a real build thread somewhere, it's been buried by the thousands of Pinterest and blog reposts of the images.

Zippy is a celebrity-by-proxy!

In Feb of 2015, Laurent Dubois said he wanted the fiberglass fenders off of Zippy for a nostalgia project he was working on. Paying the cost for shipping(which was catastrophically expensive), I basically gave them to him with the best of luck on his project.

Today in my Facebook feed, I saw Zippy's fenders again:

In the time it took me to get the pan temporarily fastened together, he build this(FB link, may need account).
