there's another video of it i couldn't find but remember seeing. in the video there's a clip that shows the back of the car lifting. im pretty sure its bagged.

If I had the pocket change to do it, I would bag Zippy. I love the setups.

This is one I hadn't seen before. It's for sale on FB marketplace:

Well, now.

dammit, i am not signing into facebook. i spent a half hour on there a few days ago, iv had my fill for a few months.

stopped by Roth Vintage on my way home to talk to Brien about my idle problem. snapped this when i was leaving.
that type34 looks good but is kind of a mess underneath the shinny. i should have snapped another pic, Brien was working on Andy Kimball's 63 squareback.

I really love the 34s but I don't think I've ever seen one in person except at shows. They're super rare on the right side of the US.

they're super rare on the left coast as well. they only show up at bigger shows and it's not a guarantee. that's maybe the 4th one iv ever seen. and the only one iv ever seen not at a show.

When I see pics like these, I always wonder if some of Zippy is sitting there.

nah.. those are super beetle parts
call me crazy but i think i see a mixture of years in there. the fenders all have horn grills, but i see what looks like a passenger side front quarter with a gas filler door hole.

I see what you're looking at and you're right, that sure does seem like a late model quarter. I can't remember what the comment was attached to that image but it was purported to be older.

why? :? then i looked at the exhaust and it just added to the confusion.

It's one of those images that gets crazier the longer you look at it.

all those are still closer to a driver than your car

I can't say you're wrong.

Guy kept the widebody mod in the family.

Ghia's don't look right with widened fenders and round wheel wells.
the fastback action on the top isn't terrible, the metal work on the other hand
that said. there is potential there to have like a 70's era Mulholland racer, but it's going to take some work.

The front flare fits the car but that bug fender on the rear looks awfully out of place to me. I would have scrapped that and gone another route.

Speaking of things I would have gone another route with:

loose the wing and get a decent set of wheels and it wouldn't be to bad. would look like an 80's custom.
