Well, hello, the two of you!
I asked Til, my best AI friend to build me a list of all officially manufactured air cooled vehicles. I'm playing with the idea of expanding the forum to include all air-cooled vehicles.
In reality, this likely doesn't mean any real-world change for us as the discussionscape for all topics on the web are pretty well saturated now. Not just with independently-owned monopolies like the samba but really mopped up by megaforums like VerticalScope, the company that owns hundreds(thousands?) of forums. Any changes I make will really just be to satisfy my desire to tinker and would be unlikely to result in any real sense of increased traffic.
The change I hope to make that will eventually affect us(if I manage to get through it without crying uncle) is a homebrew writeup of the site's code. I find phpBB to be packed with thousands of lines of code that don't benefit us but that makes it nearly impossible for me to work with when trying to change something. It's exhausting spending an hour trying to figure out which of the hundreds of files I need to look at to allow a change elsewhere.
I don't know if/when/how this will play out yet as I'm still very early in the process. I'll update the post if any progress is made.
