This is indeed a sick collection. I'm consistently amazed how they manage to obtain all these very rare parts.
He mentioned the 38 has an original prototype engine by now... :o
IIRC I read somewhere the "Grundmann Network" is also called the "KDF Mafia". :)

I think "KDF Mafia" is apt in the sense that I imagine that anything that happens in the historical realm of VW, it is quickly brought to their attention, both through their constant digging and their wealth of contacts. You can sense his passion for the car and it's history. Any old ride that ends up in their hands should consider itself very lucky indeed!
this is worth a watch

I had watched part of that when it first came out because I love abandoned exploration but when it became clear that it was more about Bob than Detroit, I turned it off. I don't find Bob interesting enough to invest a full hour.
This is pretty incredible:
Wow, that's an awesome one. My dad built a V8 bug when I was little but unfortunately, if I was around for it, I was too young to remember.
How bout this bad assed dude?
That last one made me really nervous :)
Since it's not a car I post this here instead of the model topic...
That's incredible! I think a person could ride in that at that size :)
the gyros in those helicopters make almost anything possible.
this one may have been posted before, don't remember
Wow, that looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to have something motorized with two wheels to play with :)
