A day in the life...

So I don't clog up our car photos topic, I thought it would be interesting to start a topic to share an image taken during the course of our day that might be funny or just interesting in nature. Feel free to participate if you happen to carry a picture-taking device on you while out and about for the day!
I'll start:
My boots purchased in Dec 92. They still feel great and there's not much visual wear on them:
My wife gets a bit angry that I went vegan on her. Sometimes, I send photos like this to her just to get her hopes up:

It looks like a lot of that wooden structure didn't quite make the cut. Your Focus is looking like brand new(as expected
). Have I shown you a pic of my fatbike? I'm not sure if I have or not yet.
We're shoe-twinsies! I'll post some of my other Docs. I've got the wingtips I wore on my wedding day that still look like new as well.
Went to visit the neurologist today. It's a 4 hour round trip through Nantahala gorge. Spring is here, stuff is green and I came across some machines replacing railroad ties and a couple dogs that were testing the air:

The Jeep was in dire need of brakes so thinking that the ground had dried out enough, I went to tackle the front first. I also installed leveling/lift blocks.
1) The ground was not dry enough.
2) The race between the sinking jacks and getting the wheels back on is on!
Bless cheap spring compressors.

I think these are the polyurethane (?) lift spacers.
Will the stock shocks work with such a set up?
Or do you have to change to longer shocks or modify the mount may be?

They are and I've got a browser tab open with
this page open. 3" additional length is really too much to ask of the stock shocks but I wanted to drive it a bit and see if I need them before I spend the money.

If I understand the setup correctly the overall suspension travel will remain stock with the lift kit?
The springs and suspension parts remain stock and just the body is lifted?
In this case the stock shocks can be extended somehow may be?
Like cutting off the bottom shock eye and extend the shock housing with a piece of tube
and weld the eye back on that extension tube...
Welding may be tricky because to much heat may damage the shock.
So what do you think about this bushwah brain fart?

I bet if someone were better at welding, they could do that but I'm sure I'd either create a shrapnel bomb or just total out the stuff in the compressed portion.
Plus, I'd probably manage to outprice the cost of the shocks I posted

I already figured that welding a shock may be total moonshine...
I tend to unnecessarily complicate things sometimes...
Now for something more unnecessary...
A pic taken last Saturday when visiting Mom & Dad.
My first Docs acquired in1985 (if my memory serves me right).
Obviously not as well groomed as yours.
They remain at my parents home and I still wear them at times.

Oh, they look comfy! I just noticed that we lace them the same way as well. Perhaps that's common for Docs?
We went to look at the college campus Chloe will likely be going to. On the way there, a rafting company shows a bit of their royal side:
This is at the entrance of the college:
And anytime we come back through this way, we usually stop at the Nantahala Outdoor Center to grab something to eat:
