Wow, how cool would that duo be to go camping in?

Spotted at TheSamba...

Triple carbs! :o

I don't know enough about Hebmullers to know whether it's real or not but either way, it's not the direction I thought someone would take with one.
That being said, I love it!

ha! i saw that car today! have a couple pic's of it. check out the El Prado Show & Shine thread. yes it's real, it was just featured in Hot VW's.
Wow, so that's a real Heb? I can't even imagine what that's worth, it's gotta be off the charts valuable! I'd be scared to death of driving it.

That poor thing was raped IMHO...
But there's definitely something to a "custom" Hebmüller...

Stumbled across this lately...

Wow, so that nose is just part of the stamping, I thought it was a bolt-on of some sort attaching to another otherwise stock hood.
I saw this in a Euro VW mag:

lets not forget this from probably 10 years ago. Rich from the German Folks slammed one on early's

Not that I'll ever have to tempt myself but I don't think I could ever do that to a real one. If I had that kind of money, I'd probably build a clone.
I wouldn't want to own a real one but I would love to see one in person and touch it once or twice.

i wouldn't mind having a real one. id drive that sucker to. although probably not on the freeway. scary enough in a modern vehicle. not sure my ass is capable of puckering tight enough to drive a heb on a so cal freeway.
and iv got nothing against the slammed ones, hell i actually think they're cool. swap out the beam, adjust the torsion bars and your back up to stock height in a weekend. no big deal
I'm used to slam doors if anything...
I love the slammed beetles but am not a fan of the camber on the rear wheels, partly because I'm cheap and I hate the thought of eating half of the tire apart then having to pay to have the tire mounted in reverse on the rims just to do the same again.. I am really considering raising the engine on mine to try to minimize it.

That and I'd love airbags but that's also out of my price range. In wonder if you could achieve the same affect with air shocks?

^^^ One of the cool "Schneewittchenwagen" replicas by "Meyer Autodienst" I guess...
Some links to fun German lessons... ;)

That was amazing! They have quite the number of toys, too!

I'd love to know the story behind it:

Wow, the two look very similar in style, making me wonder if there was a kit or plans sold at one time. I'd love to get a closer look to see how they handled the space under the bed inside. Like some kind of storage pocket like the Ranchero or El Camino had.
